Youth Connections, can take care of all that! 

To be a part of Youth Connections, participants should:

  • Be 16-18 years old and live in Chicago
  • Meet low income guidelines
  • Want to go to work or on to college after high school 

Job readiness gives you know-how:

  • Fill out top notch applications
  • Create a resume that will get your foot in the door
  • Interview with confidence to land a job

Job placement helps you to:
  • Find Employment
  • Match You to Employers

Workshops for you to:

  • Set Goals
  • Explore Careers
  • Plan your finances
  • Manage Your Money
  • Manage Your Time 
  • Learn How to Study

Field trips include:

  • The Board of Trade
  • The Museum of Contemporary Art
  • Columbia College Chicago
  • The DuSable Museum of African American History
  • Dance Africa
  • Broadway in Chicago

You get academic support for:

  • Personalized Tutoring
  • Essay writing 
  • Research assistance
  • Assistance with college applications
  • Assistance with financial aid, and scholarships

Supportive services provided on a case-by-case basis:
  • Bus Fare
  • Housing
  • Assistance with Graduation fees

Bring the following to your appointment!
  • Birth Certificate and Social Security Card
  • Employment Authorization document (for non-U.S. Citizens)
  • Proof of address, such as light bill, drivers license /state ID with current address
  • Proof of income - most recent check stub, SSI letter, medical card, or public assistance records showing TANF payments and / or proof of food stamps
  • School ID
